Department of anesthesiology strives to provide highest satisfaction to patients undergoing surgery with safe, timely services and evidence based best practices.

The Operation Theatre complex is located on the first floor of the hospital. It consists of patient reception area, four operating rooms and a recovery room or post anesthesia care unit (PACU). We provide anesthesia services routinely on weekdays from 9 am-3pm. Our personnel are scheduled to attend emergencies for 24X7 hrs.
The Department currently has an Anesthesiologist, three Nurse Anesthetists, seven OT technicians, thirteen Scrub Nurses, two Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurses and four supporting staffs.

These anesthetics provide continuous pain relief and sustain patients’ critical life functions as they are affected throughout surgical, obstetrical, or other medical procedures.
We provide comprehensive preoperative assessment of the patient (PAC) where we carefully consider the patient’s current state of health and the planned surgical procedure. This helps anesthesiologists to formulate safest anesthesia plan for each individual patient.
Our role also extends to providing injections for back pains (epidural steroid injections), provision of sedation for diagnostic procedures like CT scans and other medical procedures in the wards, providing pain and palliative care.
