Today the Eastern Regional Referral Hospital (ERRH) held a handover ceremony for traditional treatment equipment and medical items worth Nu. 0.19 million.
The event was presided over by the Medical Superintendent, along with Drungtshos and officials from the National Traditional Medicine Services, Department of Clinical Services, and National Medical Services. They officially handed over the equipment and medical items to the In-Charge of the Traditional Medicine Unit.
Those equipment and items included;
1. Langlum Bed (Herbal Steam Bath Cabinet) – 1
2. Jukpa Bed (Foldable Massage Bed) – 1
3. Wet Cupping Set – 1
4. Dry Cupping Set – 1
5. Numtshuk Pot (Double)– 1 Unit
6. Chingduk Steamer – 1
7. Massage Gun – 1
8. Massage Towels (Large)– 3
9. Massage Towels (Medium) – 3
The ceremony was graced by the Lama Tsozin of the hospital after Lhabsang (purification) ritual. Also in attendance were the Medical Superintendent, Deputy Chief ADMO, Drungtshos, Menpas, and traditional therapists.
This event marks a significant step in integrating traditional healing practices with modern medical equipment. This aligns with the 13th (13FYP) to expand TM Jamched, Tshubched, and Laynga Services, further strengthening the healthcare system at ERRHM.
