International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on May 12th in remembrance of Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of modern nursing.

This year’s event was held under the theme: *“Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthen Economies.”*

The celebration at ERRH was graced by the Medical Superintendent as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by hospital staff, administrative officers, heads of departments (HODs), unit in-charges, and others.

The program included the offering of *Zhabten* for His Majesty The King, the recitation of the Florence Nightingale Pledge, the awarding of prizes for the poster competition (held as part of the build-up to the event), a lucky draw spin, video presentations by various units, findings of survey on health and wellbeing of nurses, and cultural performances by students of Arura AHS.

The Medical Ward won first prize in the poster competition, while the Surgical/Orthopedic Unit and the Emergency Room (ER) secured second and third places, respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to all participating units.

A lunch was also served to all attendees. The program concluded successfully, with renewed commitment and dedication — thanks to the leadership of the Nursing Superintendent, in-charges, and all other dedicated nurses involved.
