On 11th June 2025, civil servants from across Mongar came together to participate in the Civil Service Wellbeing Marathon—a commendable initiative aimed at fostering health, fitness, and overall wellbeing among public servants.

The Eastern Regional Referral Hospital (ERRH), Mongar, proudly took part in this event, with four of our staff members bringing home medals—an achievement that reflects both individual dedication and the hospital’s strong emphasis on health and wellness. Their accomplishments serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of physical activity in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, showcasing remarkable endurance, determination, and spirit.

In the Open Category (Female), Promika Thing earned a Bronze Medal, while in the Open Category (Male), Ugyen Tshewang also secured a Bronze Medal.

In the Veteran Category, Chador Phuentsho distinguished himself by winning a Gold Medal, and Phuntsho Norbu brought home a Bronze Medal.

These outstanding performances not only brought pride to ERRH and the community but also set an inspiring example for civil servants across the region. The event highlighted ERRH’s continued commitment to fostering a culture of wellness and active living in the workplace.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adults should engage in at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity, five days a week to maintain health and longevity. The success of ERRH participants reinforces this important message and underscores the value of integrating exercise into our daily routines.

Congratulations to our medalists and all participants! You have made us proud and continue to serve as exemplary ambassadors for a healthier, more vibrant civil service.
