A two-day Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course was conducted for nurses from various units of the hospital from 15th to 16th August. The training was facilitated by our own staff who had previously been certified under the Druk Shokchop course by the Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB).

The program was organized by the Department of Emergency Medicine, initiated and led by Dr. Ugyen Rinzin, Emergency Physician and Head of Department. The course provided participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in managing life-threatening cardiac emergencies, strengthening their confidence and preparedness in handling critical situations.
This initiative marks an important step toward enhancing the quality of critical care across all hospital units. By empowering nurses with advanced cardiac life support skills, the training not only builds individual capacity but also contributes to improved patient outcomes, teamwork, and overall emergency response readiness.
