In a modest ceremony, the hospital administration felicitated the five healthcare professionals who were honored with the Certificate of Recognition for Best Healthcare Services during the World Health Day celebration held at Sheteymi, Merak, Tashigang on 7th April. The Honorable Health Minister, Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk awarded the certificates and expressed his gratitude to all 73 award recipients for their immense and exceptional contributions in advancing healthcare services across the country and encouraged everyone to continue serving with greater zeal, enthusiasm, and motivation.
Among the recipients from ERRH were Dr. Pelden Wangchuk as Best Medical Superintendent for his outstanding service in the management of Regional Referral Hospital, two Clinical Nurses Mr. Hem Kumar Nepal and Mr. Pema Wangchuk for the Best Nurse Award, and Mr. Karma Thinley, Senior Dental Hygienist, and Mr. Tshering Wangdi, EPI Technician, who were recognized under Best Technical Services.
All the award recipients shared their journeys and contributions to healthcare over careers spanning from 15 to 36 years, highlighting the extra miles they have gone as a source of motivation for other healthcare professionals to strive for in the coming years.
The award recipients expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Health and National Medical Services for initiating such program and also dedicated the recognition to all the healthcare professionals of ERRH (present & past) as it would not have been possible to achieve without their guidance, support, cooperation and hard work.
