The Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB) has handed over medical simulators valued at over Nu. 2 million to the Eastern Regional Centre for Simulation-Based Training at Mongar Regional Referral Hospital. The handover event was attended by the Medical Superintendent of Mongar ERRH.

These medium-fidelity simulators are intended to support simulation-based medical training throughout the eastern region. The equipment includes one Resus Anne Simulator set and three Neonatal Advanced Life Support simulators.

Furthermore, a team from KGUMSB and Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH) is conducting an instructor training course for the Druk Sokchop-Bhutan Advanced Cardiac Life Support (DS-BACLS) program using the newly acquired simulators.

This initiative was made possible with support from the Technical Cooperation Project between the JICA Bhutan Office and KGUMSB.
